Un groupe d’organisations de la société civile du monde entier a annoncé la tenue d’un Forum Social Internet qui vise à rassembler et à formuler des propositions claires sur le thème « L’Internet que nous voulons ». S’inspirant du Forum Social Mondial et son slogan «Un autre monde est possible», le groupe cherche d’urgence à attirer l’attention sur une centralisation croissante de l’Internet, uniquement tournée vers les rentes des monopoles et un contrôle sociopolitique accrue, et affirme qu’ « Un autre Internet est possible »!
